First Blended Intensive Program at the Prague University of Economics and Business
Prague University of Economics and Business successfully conducted its first Blended Intensive Program (BIP). The BIPs financed by Erasmus+ are short, intensive programs which promote innovative ways of learning, teaching and training for students and staff and combine the online and offline cooperation between at least three universities from different countries.
This BIP was coordinated by the Department of International and Diplomatic Studies at the Faculty of International Relations from 5 November to 9 December 2022. Prague University of Economics cooperated with the Universities of Tartu and Siena. Thus, the program brought together 31 students from different countries around Europe, including 12 Czech students from our University. Students participated in the course entitled Current European affairs: East and West cleavages. They were given several online lectures on current European topics and worked together on projects in international groups.
I greatly enjoyed the time in Prague, the lectures, presentations and the social program. Overall, I am very fond of the Prague BIP, and I highly recommend continuing with the organisation of short-term mobility courses – they are valuable sources of new knowledge, but they also gave us new friends.
For the final sessions, all gathered in Prague for the whole week, where they had the opportunity to finally meet face to face during classes, which took place from Monday to Friday (5-9 December) and to enjoy the Christmas atmosphere in Prague during the social events in the afternoons and evenings.
